The RBC Wealth Management Generalist Program

RBC Wealth Management directly serves affluent and high net worth clients in Canada, the United States, Latin America, Europe and Asia, and provides asset management and trust products and services directly and through RBC partners and third-party distributors. RBC Wealth Management has more than C$520 billion of assets under administration, more than C$260 billion of assets under management and nearly 4,500 financial consultants, advisors, private bankers and trust officers. RBC Wealth Management Generalists will experience a variety of rotations across RBC Wealth Management including opportunities in the following businesses:

  • Global Asset Management — RBC Global Asset Management (RBC GAM) comprises RBC Asset Management (RBC AM), Phillips, Hager & North (PH&N) and Global Asset Management US. RBC GAM group of companies manage approximately C$200 billion in assets under management, including over C$100 billion in IFIC-related mutual fund assets in Canada. PH&N Funds won the Lipper Awards for "Best Overall Fund Group" in 2010 and 2011, and "Best Bond Fund Family" in 2007, 2008, 2010 and 2011. RBC Funds won the Lipper Awards for "Best Bond Fund Family" in 2009 and "Best Overall Fund Group" in 2007 and 2008.
  • RBC Dominion Securities — Canada's largest full-services investment advisory firm with over C$178 billion in assets under administration and 1,500 investment advisors and portfolio managers. A number of wealth management services are provided to the Investment Advisory network including equity & fixed income portfolio advice, financial advisory solutions, and fee-based investment solutions sales & product management.
  • Wealth Management — United Kingdom The WM-UK business, in conjunction with RBC Capital Markets and Global Asset Management, has a mandate to establish the UK as the third key market for RBC outside of Canada and the U.S. Our focused team of client-facing professionals and wealth managers offer a full range of private client services, investment management, banking, credit, tax consultancy and trusts. We will grow our wealth management business by continuing to focus on international clients who regard the UK / London as a wealth management centre, UK resident non-domiciled clients, UK resident domiciled clients, and the opportunity RBC Wealth Management might have in meeting their needs for domestic and international wealth management solutions.
  • Emerging Markets Division — RBC Wealth Management Emerging Markets encompasses our businesses in Asia, EMEA and Latin America. With over 125 client facing professionals, and over $23 billion in client assets under care, its focus is on expanding RBC Wealth Management's capabilities in serving clients from key emerging markets particularly in Asia, Latin America, and in the Middle East, Africa, Eastern Europe. Providing clients access to a range of wealth management solutions including private banking, trusts, investment solutions, credit, and insurance, WM EM includes offices in Switzerland, Hong Kong, Singapore, Beijing, Brunei, Dubai, Mumbai, Madrid, Uruguay, Brazil, Argentina, and Chile. Focusing on the growing numbers and international needs of HNW and UHNW clients from these regions, WM EM will look to grow existing client relationships by driving greater integration across all RBC businesses, including RBC Capital Markets and RBC Global Asset Management.
  • RBC Phillips, Hager & North Investment Counsel — RBC Phillips, Hager & North Investment Counsel focuses exclusively on client portfolios in excess of $1 million and provides the full range of wealth management services including estate planning, trusts, tax minimization, and other investment and planning solutions.
